Supportive and friendly family-like atmosphere Office is very accommodating when staff needs time off. Bright, open classrooms and playgrounds A caring, fun, nurturing place for students and staff Continued improvements and updates on school curriculum, classrooms, etc. New hire trainings, professional development training, room for professional growth in the company.

Some practices in the school seem to be based on tradition or intuition. High quality standards and guidelines currently do not seem to be clearly implemented at Action Day Schools across the board. The school is not NAEYC accredited, but could still use more evidence-based protocols regarding relationships and interactions, classroom materials and arrangement, etc. Some of these high-quality standards are used, but often only by teachers who have had training outside of ADS. Action Day School shines when it comes to their fun, caring, family-like environments, but could be really brilliant with some simple standard improvements.

The coworkers I had were fun

Management would play favorites, and would oftentimes pay someone with less experience than you more money because they are desperate—without giving more seasoned teachers raises. Management would move teachers to different classes with no notice whatsoever. You can be put in a class and not even know the names of the students there. The ratio numbers are too high and unsafe. Changing areas for babies reek and lack air conditioning. Management can be condescending. The pay is unforgivably low considering workload and responsibilities. No training given.
