Pros
It's a job. Some coworkers are excellent. New office in New Haven with gym is a nice touch. Work-life balance is not bad if you're competent.
Cons
Compensation is borderline passable - company complains that they can't get talent. Office Locations are lousy. Marketing/management promise product releases that are impossible, engineering isn't consulted. A lot of software engineers at HQ are boneheads... Not really a technology company, but they constantly claim they are. Repeated rounds of layoffs. Bonuses/raises/gain share used to be good. Not anymore. ~1% raise last year. Woeful incompetence around management of the technology org. which indirectly caused a Class Action Lawsuit (google it). Lack of career growth opportunity. Benefits are passable at best. Expensive and poor quality health insurance. Extremely top-heavy organization.
