Pros
The only pro is actually a con. If you want to work at a place where you can clock in and clock out without using much thought, this is the place for you! This agency does not appreciate new innovative ideas and wants to stick to the old ways they've always done things. So if you want to work at a place where no one is accountable and professionalism is not a must, you will do well here.
Cons
Lack of senior leadership that actually leads by example, experience, and/or attitude Low paying positions due to nonprofit industry and giving large bonuses at the end of the year with the majority of it going to high level managers and not the front line staff. Lack of professionalism across agency. Lack of processes and technology that assist in making tasks easier - not willing to pay for technology that will make processes more efficient. Nepotism is both frowned upon but done so overtly that I am sure that at least 50% of the work force is related or personal friends. Young, polished, educated talent is not welcome here - older staff members create nonstop drama and do not create an atmosphere that supports personal privacy. In plain English, if you don't want to be friends with them, you won't do well here. No room for growth or advancement. Limited benefit offering - no HDHP, retirement savings match, STD
