Pros
I have been in IT for almost 40 years and I have worked for major software companies, including working many years at Oracle. Adaptive Computing is without a doubt, the best company that I have ever worked for.
Adaptive is growing under Arthur Allen’s vision and leadership. Even though Adaptive is a relatively small company, 4 more people have been hired that will be starting within the next 2 weeks.
Working for Adaptive is both challenging and rewarding because we have many important clients, such as Stanford University, Cisco Systems, NASA, FDA, Honeywell, Johns Hopkins, Lockheed Martin, Dow Chemical Company, IBM, and the list goes on.
It is a great environment and great people. If people weren’t getting paid, then nobody would work here. My 5-star rating is not ‘staged’, but is an honest assessment.
Cons
Even though they have a 401K plan, there is no company match. The salary is lower than the average for software companies.
