Pros
No dress code. We had people showing up in club clothes, pajamas, anything. If you have face tattoos and can't get hired anywhere else this is your place so long as you are over 18 with a GED and haven't gone to jail yet. And I mean they will hire anyone with a pulse. They hired a homeless guy once who made the whole office smell like feces. They've also hired several pushers, who will accost you on lunch breaks with offers of c*ke and her*in and pills on payday - "just follow me to the parking lot!" They also don't care if you've been fired from every other job you've ever had - we had a lot of guys who said they'd been fired for some sort s*xual h*rassment and yay, that was "fun" as a female employee! Always seems like those guys get promoted to management too!
Cons
SO. MANY. CONS. 1. They don't hire nearly enough people per shift, so calls are back-to-back non-stop. A 90-second lull is celebrated as a miracle. And when every call is an unhappy person yelling, that wears on you. 2. Bathroom breaks are strictly timed. If you're on a period or pregnant or have IBS too bad, you're still limited - and you have to ask permission to go, just like in grade school. This is true even of the WFH employees, you are GLUED to your computer. 3. The Fairview location is 15 minutes away from the nearest restaurant so for your 20-minute lunch break, you either have to pack something, or pay the outrageous prices that the vending machines charge. NO ONE WILL DELIVER TO FAIRVIEW because too many employees have refused to pay drivers over the years 4. Management will treat you like children. NO TALKING TO OTHER EMPLOYEES! NO LEANING BACK IN YOUR CHAIR! NO CHEWING GUM! YOU'RE 62 SECONDS LATE THAT'S A WRITE-UP! And you will be immediately fired if you're found with a phone or a smartwatch. 5. No time off. No sick days. No bonuses. They will ALWAYS find some excuse to deny your PTO or bonus. In fact while I was at Fairview the rule was "for every day you miss for any reason, you have to work an additional 8 hours on top of your usual schedule before the end of the month to make it up, or else you're fired" 6. However, you WILL be given overtime... and I mean GIVEN, as in forced. 10-hour days are the norm. 7. You won't make it long. If you don't quit in frustration within 2 months like most do, you'll be fired within 3. I trained with a class of 20 and by the end of 6 weeks 19 of them were gone. I lasted 11 months before I couldn't take anymore forced overtime, going in at 8am and leaving at 10pm six days a week because so many people were quitting and the rest of us had to pick up the slack 8. The parking lot. THE PARKING LOT. You will NOT find a place to park anywhere near the building. It will take you 15 minutes to get from your car to the front door, so you won't be able to go to your car to check your phone (which you MUST leave in your car or be fired) on your 10-minute twice-a-day break. Hope you don't have kids to check on
