11yFirst, thank you the kind statements regarding treating our new employees with kindness and respect and regarding our continued growth. We are pleased you feel we do a good job of holding ourselves accountable and have great teamwork in departments.
While we cannot comment on employee issues publically, we would like to state that no employee has been demoted to “facilitate a promotion” for family or otherwise.
Compensation and benefits are an important focus. Each year we ask our employees for their input on a company-wide survey and investigate the benefits that they are interested in. (We are actually doing two benefit surveys in 2015!) We want to give our employees benefits that they want – not what we think they want. In 2014, ACH absorbed the costs of the increase in insurance for two months (Nov/Dec) to assist employees before their annual raises kicked in. In 2015, among other updates, ACH extended the Professional Development policy to part time employees.
We have an open door policy at ACH and wish your concerns had been brought to a supervisor, HR, or any other member in management in order to work towards a satisfactory resolution. The act of writing up employees is typically done after verbal discussions and training logs, depending on the level of severity. Additionally, supplemental conference forms include plan to correct the behavior exhibited in hopes of correction. The issue of workload is another issue that should be reported to a supervisor or any member of management. Additions to the corporate office are made when a need arises.
The core values are very important to us, as you mentioned in the “pros”, to ensure we hold ourselves accountable and are able to best take care of our employees company-wide. Employees are regularly recognized by the core values they exhibit through teamwork slips and certificates. A large group of individuals meet annually to discuss the values and definitions. Slight adjustments may be made year to year because of how important the values are to the organization and our employees. If there is a value removed that an employee feels strongly about, ACH is more than happy to reconsider it and excited that the values are an important factor in employee’s day to day operations.
Thank you for taking the time to review us and for allowing us to respond. We are happy to have a staff of intelligent individuals and do not tolerate disrespect in the workforce. Respect is one of our core values.
