Pros

Tremendous safety values. I was never asked to accomplish a task that was, in anyway, unsafe. My Site Manager while in a Site Supervisor role was very supportive. Everyone on the team appreciated his honesty, integrity and guidance.

Cons

I worked for ATS over five years as a site supervisor when promoted to Site Manager. Around the same time of my promotion a few individuals, with very limited experience in management or manufacturing, were hired from the outside and offered significantly more money for doing the same job. Human Resourced sold me since I was only making $65,000/Year for my current position I should not expect more than $85,000/Year as a Site Manager. The other newly hired Site Managers, two of them from the military, were offered more than $100,000/Year. When I was offered the position of Site Manager at a particular location I was told the maximum salary for this location is $95,000 and ATS never starts anyone at the upper limit. Then, while conversing with the current Site Manager at this location, I was informed he was making $105,000 per year.

Pros

Great time to sell into the manufacturing sector related to productivity and equipment reliability.

Cons

Operational driven company but constantly changing the sales org and strategy. "Leaders" that have no background in business development or revenue generation responsible for sales strategy. Wasn't uncommon to report to a new leader or move sales territories multiple times in a year but quota never changed. Top performers are expected to do and sell more but additional financial upside was out of the question. A select group of legacy employees and "leaders" made decisions in a bubble in most cases. I was a top performer during my entire tenure at ATS. I agreed to work out a two week notice to help transition my accounts but was terminated after three days. No one in middle management, director, or exec-level roles asked for feedback or even made the time to send an email wishing me well or thanking me for my contributions during my five years with the company. In fact, my health insurance was terminated with no warning before I left the last day. My contributions and sacrifices for ATS meant so little to the company that they didn't care that my two small children wouldn't have insurance for over a month when I tried to leave the right way.
