Pros

I have worked at this company for 11 years as of Dec 2019 and thanks to the promote from within for hard workers attitude that this company has I moved from a Support Tech all the way to where I am now with several stops along the way and a lot of hard work and great mentors helping me! I mean seriously, what company these days let's you do that? This company has so many different products and you really can challenge yourself in just about any way you'd like. You can push yourself to learn something new or you can hone your expertise even more. I have seen this company go through many different leadership's in engineering and overall as well as ownership over the years and I have to say without a doubt, right now we have the most promising ownership yet and by far the most promising leadership yet. Kudos everyone. Here's to another 11 years!

Cons

Like any company there are cons but in the grand scheme of things, the cons I have faced have never outlasted me. They have been relatively short term. You can't bail over the small stuff or you will always be running from your problems

Pros

AdvancedMD has an excellent culture where everyone is welcome and respected. Our CEO, Amanda Sharp, has consistently led AdvancedMD with clarity and compassion through many times of change and uncertainty from covid lockdowns to new ownership to AI tooling changing the way we work. Amanda never loses sight of the real people who make up AdvancedMD and her commitment to do right by us, which sets the tone for leadership throughout the organization.

Cons

There's some uncertainty due to AI tooling changing certain roles and workflows, which can be stressful to navigate, but this is not unique to our business. At the end of the day, I'm thankful AdvancedMD is embracing AI tooling so that we can remain competitive both as an organization and individually.

Pros

I valued the opportunity to contribute to healthcare technology products that supported real users in complex workflows. The work was challenging in a good way and provided exposure to enterprise SaaS, patient engagement, accessibility, mobile design, design systems, research, and cross-functional collaboration. I worked with many thoughtful, talented people who cared about improving the customer and patient experience. For designers who enjoy solving complex problems, advocating for users, and working across product and engineering, the role offered meaningful opportunities to learn and contribute.

Cons

The environment could be complex and sometimes difficult to navigate, particularly when priorities shifted or alignment across teams was still forming. Like many mature software organizations, there were challenges related to legacy workflows, technical constraints, competing business needs, and varying levels of design maturity across product areas. Success often required patience, persistence, and the ability to communicate clearly with many different stakeholders.
