The company is always finding ways to improve things. There is a lot of communication from the top management which is better than no communication. The company has fun events for employees including a big out-of-town event with all expenses paid each year. It is truly a privilege to be working at Advancial.
Cons
If you are looking for a job, make sure you do your research and don’t get stuck in this particular department. The department manager will make sure that you have a terrible experience with this company. No work-life balance as you are told to stay late and also come in on some Saturdays. Forget about calling-in or asking for a leave request, because you will get questioned or bad treatment and mean reactions. The manager is very moody, inconsiderate, and inconsistent with her employees. Employees are treated worse than grunts. There is no flexibility in anything for employees. If you step out of your desk, you can get in trouble. But this manager can come in late to the office with no problems almost every day. Since employees have to run everything by this micromanager, it is hard to get the daily work done to meet specific deadlines. This micromanager is not available frequently due coming in late consistently and being behind closed doors by herself. There are very strict and unachievable expectations. Employees receive the cold shoulder frequently and the micromanager gives a very mean demeanor if things are not to her outrageous expectations. Cellphones got banned in this department by this micromanager recently. There are not a lot of opportunities for people to move out of this department in corporate, unless they want to work at a branch. Those branch positions keep turning over often but most corporate employees don’t go for those positions.
