Great company with a lot of potential! - Leadership Development Associate Advantage Solutions Employee Review

Pros

The company provides extensive opportunities to advance your career and is a very positive environment to work in. There is a lot of female leadership, which is rare even in this day and age and I love working for a company with that type of culture and opportunity. ASM is very accomodating to personal needs and I have never had a bad experience with management or projects. The ACE Program is incredible and I highly recommend it to any post college graduate interested in sales and marketing (see below for qualifiers though).

Cons

The pay is comparable to other cpg marketing companies, but they don't give raises that often. I know I could make more somewhere else, but it evens out. It should be noted that the cpg and retailer industry is unique, and you should research this type of environment before pursuing a career here because it's different than "fun, web, media" marketing or all fancy sales meetings- you have to get your hands dirty sometimes.

Pros

There are pockets of talent and smarts on the creative side of the business, and I absolutely adored my immediate coworkers and my manager.

Cons

Senior leadership is an absolute mess. They will get us all together for these pep rallies, demand we “AMP IT UP”, then turn around and screw us mercilessly when it comes to raises, bonuses and job security. There is also quite a bit of platonic nepotism happening on the creative end of the business, with people who lend no real value to the work sitting at the very top of the creative pyramid solely because of their relationship to senior leaders. These people are being carried on the shoulders of their creative directors and ACDs, who are all criminally underpaid and under appreciated. With round after round of layoffs, no new wins, and leaders who demand high energy, long hours, and good attitudes at all times, I would strongly advise creatives to steer clear of this train wreck of an agency.
