Pros

Great pay, benefits, supportive, friendly and helpful staff and charge nurses/unit manager. The hospital has a snack cart with coffee and various food items (sandwiches, chips, salads, fruit, cookies, coffee, etc, that make rounds to the units several times a day for those nurses who are unable to go to the cafeteria for their break.

Cons

The size of the ICU, eight beds, made census a potential problem. Nurses are on a rotation, If the census is low staffing will either call you off or put you on call for the first four hours and when they call in four hours you're either put on call the rest of the shift, called in, or staying home. Nice for when one is looking for time off, bad when you need pay.

Pros

I worked with Advent Health back in 2003, At Sunbelt, Across from Florida Hospital on Rollins before the expansion and the current car garage was built. My Skilled Nursing Facility and Rehab was there in that location before the expiration, Advent was a wonderful company to work for, and when I had to separate from them it was very hard to do, I loved my work with the peoplel and the patients.

Cons

It was hard to work in a older facility that was not as up to date as many of the others. Even though we were right next to Florida Hospital and we were their immediate rehab facility of discharge choice, especially when there was respiratory therapy involved.
