Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Aegis Living. It’s hard to hear this type of feedback, however it gives us insight into possible issues we may need to address. I welcome you to call me so that I can look into this with more detail. To clarify, the care of our residents is our highest priority, which leads our policy to staff based on the current needs of the residents in each community. I am surprised by the past experience you mention about your janitor, and would really like to understand more details. In my 22 years at Aegis Living I have not experienced a staffing situation that would enable that to happen or a General Manager who would allow it. Regarding our employees, there is so much that goes into recruiting and retaining great people. Aegis routinely reviews pay, and a variety of standard and creative benefits to stay competitive in our markets. We have recently added 401K match, held healthcare benefits to the same cost to employees for the 6th year, and lowered copays.
