Pros

-they work hard to create buy-in. There are company happy hours and team builders to maintain the culture and there are a lot of amazing people that work for Aerotek

Cons

Where to start... The SDO preaches unlimited growth opportunities, multiple career paths, competitive salaries and bonus potential and a "start up" culture. First of all, there are no growth opportunities. As a recruiter the only promotion available is a recruiting manager role, and during my 1.5 years at Aerotek I have only seen two people get promoted into this role. There are three other roles that you can transition into, but they are all lateral moves... many of which would require taking a pay cut. With that being said, you will be provided 0 continued training or development to progress in your career. Second, the base pay for a recruiter is about $12.50 an hour ($33,000/50+ hour work weeks). They will tell you that you will jump up to 50k within 6 months, however getting this pay raise is based on a quota that is tough to hit. Realistically it might take over a year to hit this quota. Now let's talk about bonuses.. HA! Bonuses do not exist unless you are at a specific threshold... which no one in the company has hit. My advice to people considering Aerotek, try working in a local field office.. you will work hard and put in long hours but you see results and will be rewarded for your hard work. DO NOT work in the Strategic Delivery Operations

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
