Pros

Great coworkers. Can't think of anything else.

Cons

Unless you're wanting a job where you are in the office before the sun comes up and until after it goes down, this isn't for you. Your day starts at 7:30am and it's expected to last until 'the job is done' which could be until 7:00pm or even later. In reality, your job is never done here. Most days, people look at you funny for wanting to leave and go home like a normal human being. You literally have to ask permission to leave. It's like being in a staffing cult. You're initially put through a training program where you work and do the same job as the salaried employees, except you're only getting paid $12.50/hr. In my opinion, that training period is a way to weed people out and get some cheap work out of people from day one. What you get paid here is directly related to other people's work ethic and reliability. This means, if you have a contractor leave their position or flake for whatever reason (most are $10/hr employees and naturally not the best), you take the hit and ultimately have to answer to why that person did that. This job is babysitting adults and being held accountable when those adults make decisions you had absolutely no control over. The only reason I can even stomach giving this company 2 stars is because of what I learned to put up with. Because most of these people are coming right out of college, they have absolutely no idea what it is like to work for a company who actually values you. I will say, my confidence was boosted with this job but every fiber of my being hated it and so did my associates. The people who love it aren't even making more money than I was, they just don't realize they're being taken for a ride and are blindly loyal/have never worked anywhere else. I watched my Practice Lead work longer hours than i did and he had been with the company for 10 years. That whole work hard at the beginning thing, yeah that never actually ends. You have no life while working for Aerotek no matter which level you’re at. I know this was a little all over the place but I could never recommend this company to a friend. You will work 12-13 hours a day and you will be micromanaged by an individual who has no idea how to manage people EVERY MINUTE OF IT. In addition to those days, you are required to attend happy hours or other social events with your team after work. Hooray. This is a great place to work for a year, unfortunately hate your life for that year, and move on to something WAY better which is literally anything. For anyone being recruited by them: they tempt you with a high salary but pay you an hourly wage until you’ve met their metrics which are actually incredibly difficult. Even then, you are ‘evaluated’ and must be approved to actually get your pay. There are plenty of places you can work that are better.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
