Pros

They'll help get you a job.

Cons

They will also help you lose your job. Here's what happened: my background isn't clean due to ending up on the wrong side of the law roughly ten years ago. I applied at a company through Aerotek and during the application and interview process I was upfront about my history. Despite that, they gave me the thumbs up and sent me on my way to the new employer. A month into my new job, all is going well, I like the place, and my new bosses like me enough to offer me a direct position with the company, which I accept. The company goes through the process of doing a drug screening and also performs a background check of their own, and... well, I end up getting a phone call the following week from Aerotek saying that I "don't meet the requirements of the employer" and that my employment is being terminated immediately. Really? It's Aerotek's job to know what the requirements of their clients are, and their responsibility be upfront with applicants that have imperfect records if a client may terminate their employment on that basis. I'm not able to go back to my last job, and now I'm left unemployed due to their incompetence. Tried e-mailing them to discuss the situation but they're choosing to ghost me like some angry teenager. Very classy company. Thanks Aerotek!

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
