Pros

I'm general, credit unions tend to offer a much better environment to work in. That said, I've talked with and visited dozens of credit unions over the last 20 years and Affinity Plus is doing some incredible things! I started with Affinity Plus late last year and have been impressed with the people and beliefs of leadership. We hold ourselves accountable to our values: Care. Excellence. Integrity. In addition to a great benefit package management just announced today two new employee benefits! Paid day off on your birthday and 6 weeks of 100% paid time off for mothers and fathers to spend with a new child...they genuinely CARE about employees!

Cons

Affinity Plus went some difficult times leading up to 2013. Dave Larson, the current CEO who took over in '13 and longtime employee, has performed a small miracle since taking over. If you Glassdoor read reviews prior to 2013 you'll know what I mean...don't let those dated reviews sway you from considering Affinity Plus. We are getting better each day, and we have come a loooongggg way.

Pros

Benefits are some of the best you can get. Lots of time off and paid holidays.

Cons

Member Advisors do so much more work than what they get paid for and what is in the job description. Branch Managers are stuck in middle management and many operate several branches at a time. It's impossible to do a good job. Constantly pulled in every direction and having to pivot all the time. The goal posts keep moving. The leaders who run the branch network are overwhelmed and snappy. C-suite executives do not care about employees or what's going on. If you are going to work here, work back office and I would highly advise not going for leadership unless you are assured one branch.
