Pros
Work from home is the norm not the exception. Benefits are good but for how long...?
Cons
People come first is supposed to be one of the company values, that is a joke. Used to be a much better place to work but not anymore. Selfish managers that do not look after their team but just after their own. Lots of double talking and empty promises ("you're the best team, I'm impressed!" etc, etc) Managers with zero experience managing people or projects, because hiring/promoting inexperienced candidates is cheaper than hiring qualified candidates. With another round of layoffs being a very real possibility, is everyone for themselves, backstabbing and hiding information/knowledge that could benefit projects just to have control of the outcome and take credit. Back in November 2022 Affirm laid off some very talented people and eventually replaced them with internal inexperienced ones, the result has been very low morale and a mess of projects that go nowhere because everyone is trying to show how indispensable they are (job security) Looking for a position/work at Affirm? I would look elsewhere, unless Affirm is the only option and you need the money. It is a job, but you probably will not be happy in the dysfunctional mess Affirm is today. Sad because it used to be a good place to work.
