Pros
I loved working here. Incredible benefits, competitive pay, solid teams, smart people (mostly). I really believed in the mission and hoped to stay here.
Cons
Layoffs, obviously. Being gaslit by leadership (they said we didn't have layoffs when we did, in fact, have them in November). There is definite favoritism. Upper management is constantly over-involved in IC work, causing inefficiency and frustration among teams who actually do the work. Departments are siloed and leadership is way too focused on shipping products that don't work rather than taking a step back to reassess priorities. Work is instead prioritized by whatever the leader's opinions are that day. For a company that touts "People first" and transparency, it's super disappointing how layoffs were handled. They're never easy, but this was one of the worst I've seen in my career. It's honestly so disappointing because this company had so much potential. It's sad to see it flounder like this.
