      Pros

      Aflac itself is still an ok place to work. So long as your job isn't outsourced. Great benefits ok pay.

      Cons

      You are just a number to management. Morale in IT in the last couple of years has severely declined. Management will tell you everyone can be replaced. Some with folks off the street.

      Pros

      Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

      Cons

      No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
