Pros
Great industry opportunity. The product line is great and as long as you are disciplined enough to work without supervision and lucky enough to get a supportive management team, your future can be unlimited.
Cons
A new rep's chance of making it has been curtailed significantly by years of over recruiting and under training. It's common to hear "you're the 15th Aflac person that's walked in here this week!" You will receive the training you need if you're fortunate enough to land with a management team that cares but as often as not, you are offered the opportunity based on their hiring quotas and not their belief that you will make a good addition to the team, which leaves you to fend for yourself/
