Pros

I learned what a Pyramid Scheme was and how they were implemented in every sales position on Wall Street, especially in insurance

Cons

No base pay, all commission. I was lied to in my interview about being able to pay my expenses solely on commission, I was lied to about the role I was applying for. I made 350 Cold Calls a day to try to get accounts for the managers. The turnover rate for employees was 80%, do not let insurance people scam you into sales. It is very hard to make it in this industry and they target young desperate people who just want to say they "work on wall street"

Pros

Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

Cons

No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
