Pros

Can be a fun and rewarding job

Cons

Training in the important areas: AAOD calls, my gopher, sell.aflac.com, enrollments, claims filings, is awful in the DFW region. You are left to figure it out, so mistakes are made. I don't like making mistakes that could be avoided with proper training. Customers don't like mistakes, period.

Pros

Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

Cons

No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
