Pros

This company really cares about their employees. They expect a lot of you, but they reciprocate and will thoroughly invest in your well-being and training. All the employees have been thoroughly vetted, so you can expect everyone you work with to be friendly, supportive, intelligent, and passionate about what they do. No matter their role, it seems like everyone here cares about their work. It's a small company, so people wear a lot of hats and will often assume different responsibilities to support their colleagues when necessary. They also don't hold back on making sure you are equipped to do your job. Top of the line equipment, a focus on comfort in the office, lots of coffee and soda and snacks too. I love the leadership here. The CEO is absolutely brilliant with no hint of arrogance of any kind. He is also passionate about what he does, and cares about his employees. I feel like it is okay to be wrong about something when I talk to him, because he will correct me without be condescending and by the time I finish the conversation, I feel like I either have a better understanding of the topic, or he is sending me links and books and whatever else I need to become better at the topic. I really don't think I've had a job before where upper management cared so much about my success. I also feel like this company is pretty nimble (or you could say 'agile'? lol) on its feet. They've got a good bread and butter business, but they aren't stagnating on it. It's a field where tech progresses pretty quickly, and these guys are exploring new directions and preparing to capitalize on them. For being a small business just coming out of their startup phase, I feel pretty confident that there is a long-term future here for me.

Cons

Some typical issues with working for a small company. Not much room for vertical movement because there's just not that many people/positions to move vertically through. That said, it's a good time to get in and contribute to the company's success because that will inherently create vertical movement as the company expands. The technology they work with is a relatively new and rapidly progressing field. As a result, there aren't a whole lot of experts out their to to tutor you. You have to be ready to become an expert yourself. If you're not passionate about what you do and/or aren't a confident self-directed learner, you will struggle to keep up and this job probably isn't right for you.

Pros

100% remote. That is it. Nothing else.

Cons

If you want to work where you are consistently monitored and judged, this is the ideal place for you. There is no autonomy. You are encouraged to share you thoughts and ideas but then quickly told that your thoughts and ideas are terrible.
