Pros
This company appears to have a nice facility in Boulder, Colorado and explains during the interview process that they are a "state of the art" facility, which sounds great when looking for a biotech manufacturing position.
Cons
The company uses extremely dangerous organic chemicals in large quantities and under pressure. They start the training process in manufacturing before allowing the new employees to complete a list of required reading, obtain prescription safety glasses, or steel-toe shoes. There is a limited safety training class by EH&S during a 3-hour meeting, mainly warning you to be careful, "You're going to be working with some nasty chemicals." Actual safety training is provided in manufacturing through suggestions along the way while you are already working with all the equipment and chemicals. There are only a few knowledgeable, trained employees. Most of the manufacturing chemists, supervisors, and managers are new and do not have a grasp of the processes at this company.
