Pros

I've been working full-time at Aha! as a Rails engineer for over a year now, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. From the top down, the engineering team is made up of brilliant folks (our CTO once wrote an implementation of the JVM for a microcontroller in Assembly -- seriously) who will help you grow and learn more about your craft. The company culture promotes a great deal of autonomy -- nobody looking over your shoulder, you write code that gets the job done (even if it takes you a few tries to find the best solution).

Cons

It's fully remote -- I (an avowed introvert) see this as very positive, but if you aren't particularly self-motivated or need daily in-person interaction with coworkers, it might not be for you.

Pros

I have been working for Aha! for almost six years now. I joined Aha! because everything I read about the product, the people, the work, and the company seemed unlike any other company I have worked for. It was inspiring to me. Several years later, and it is still inspiring. I get to work with the best in the business. I get to do work every day that I love. My fellow Aha!s are brilliant, hard working, and kind. They care about the work they do and they care about the people they work with. Getting together with them twice a year at onsites is truly a highlight. The product is incredible and always improving. I cannot imagine not using it every day to do my job. It is just that good and the people that built it are even better. It makes me proud to work at Aha!.

Cons

An incredible amount of effort is put into daily work, sometimes it is easy to get so buried in it that you forget to pause and celebrate what you have achieved. Take a breath, it's okay to do so.
