Pros

the opportunity for 'flexibility' in scheduling but only in the summer. an return to office policy that is a sham, stay home gaining additional responsibilities without additional compensation 401k 5% match

Cons

Below market pay. limited the 'merit' based yearly raise regardless of performance, less than inflation while company has record performance. High turnover in leadership and associates leads to dysfunctional working teams and departments, and to new hires being paid more than long term employees. lack of meaningful company programs and incentives to reward / attract employees.

Thank you for your feedback. There's a lot to unpack here, but we appreciate that you took the time to provide your perspective. While some of your comments are valid -- we didn't adjust merit based on inflation because merit was never meant to address inflation, it's a reward for performance -- some of the things you said don't reflect the general approach PDL has for talent or workplace culture. Specifically, we truly value both our employees who have been a part of the success of this organization from day 1 as well as new talent coming into the organization. We conduct internal and external market data reviews throughout the year to ensure we are as competitive in our compensation packages as we can be for both new hires and existing employees. Also while all companies have been impacted in different ways by “The Great Resignation” we are trending lower in turnover than the industry average. Lastly, in regards to our hybrid return to office guidelines, we have empowered each function to adopt the work approach that works best for their area of the business and is reflective of the many differences in our business. We truly want to learn more about the experience you're having and what we can do to improve it. If you are willing to share more and discuss any further questions or concerns you have we would encourage you to reach out to Sarah Dudan, the HR Business Partner for the Technology team.

Pros

Large enterprise environment with exposure to complex network infrastructure, major vendors, data centers, WAN, firewalls, and large-scale operational processes. There are good people on the team, and the environment itself can give you visibility into how a large company manages network services.

Cons

The Network Engineering role is not really hands-on network engineering. Much of the actual technical work, implementation, configuration, and deeper engineering execution is handled by HCL. Internally, the role can feel more like vendor coordination, ticket chasing, and driving HCL than actually owning and engineering the network yourself. If you are expecting to configure, troubleshoot deeply, build solutions, implement changes, and stay technically hands-on, this role may be disappointing. It can feel less like being a network engineer and more like being an HCL babysitter with a network engineering title
