Pros
Lots of flexibility and the people I work with are exceptionally smart and kind. They make me feel like I have support in my day-to-day work and I have fun while doing great work. There is so much promise, too, with the DEI work that the company has undertaken over the past year.
Cons
ADUSA and PDL are in desperate need of reorganization for role clarity. There are so many duplicative roles and teams and it makes it difficult to navigate how to get work done - not just within PDL but within the greater ADUSA umbrella. Everyone's happier and more productive when we know our role and who does what. Also, while the company has done a tremendous amount of DEI work, senior leadership (not someone from the DEI teams) issued a neutral statement in response to overturning Roe v Wade, which made all the women (and many men) I work with angry and surprised. Either you support women or you don't - there aren't 2 sides when it comes to universal human rights. Also, the company says merit increases are separate from what's going on in the greater economy and that bonuses reflect performance/inflation, but we spend every year's merit increase budget on bringing people up to the minimum salary range and then there's no money left to reward employees who are already in range and exceeding expectations. It is difficult to retain top talent when you give someone who is killing it at work a 2-3% merit increase while the latest inflation rate is 9.1%.
