12 hour shifts, usually understaffed. Too many calls to handle, lots of MANDATORY overtime and MAJOR stress. QA would kill you and they were so picky about the crap minor details, but it could get you disciplined, it was definitely punitive and very demoralizing. They kept changing assigned hospitals, and moving our resources. Mistakes are made when you don't know your hospital's requirements well. Mistakes can cost lives. Breaks would be put on hold when the call volume was too high. If you don't get your break you're working for free, and no lunch break, you eat at your desk. They don't pay enough for all the stress and all the crap. Doctors call just to chew you out, and your phone line is recorded so you gotta take it. They treat people like cattle. Leadership could be condescending at times, which is how to discourage people from asking for help. It was a very punitive atmosphere.
