Pros

Strong focus on clinical performance/review. Clinical autonomy is strong. I've learned a great deal and there's a lot of very intelligent motivated people here. Company doesn't skimp on clinical equipment. Heavy emphasis on safety of employees and operations. Just culture is preached and largely practiced. I'm proud to work here. Clinical education is quite strong and often is quite fun. Unique opportunities to obtain experience in employee driven committees related to education, clinical research, and protocol development to name a few.

Cons

Very large company that can make communicating front line problems difficult. Seemingly excessive/unnecessary management and administrative positions. Admin staff can be somewhat detached from the realities of the job. Despite heavy emphasis of safety, overtime is heavily encouraged. Pay for a paramedic was disappointing considering the amount of responsibility and expectations related to clinical performance, but also had no prior flight experience, advanced certifications at time of hire, and just beyond the minimum number of hours required for hire. Public relations outreach is heavy and feels taxing. I feel like a salesman more than I'd like, but have had rewarding experiences as a result

Pros

Only pro was the hiring process which consisted of two interviews and then an offer. That should have been the first red flag.

Cons

Private Equity controlled organization. No onboarding process or training provided. You are sent to their HQ for two days of learning how to turn your computer on and how to open a couple of computer applications. They are looking for a zero to hero hire. Be prepared. Tumultuous with lots of turnover. Was told this was a career-long role and in a couple of short months, the CEO was fired, the VP of sales took off. New executive leadership team created an environment of fear and layoffs. Lots of huge egos and very little tolerance for questioning poor business decisions and strategies. No attention given to the voice of the customer and what would strategically help move the needle. It really gives off the odor of a company trying to be sold.
