Pros
Really good benefits, including lots of health insurance options. Extensive training, you are constantly taking new training classes. Very generous with catered lunches, office supplies and little perks. Good discounts for employees thru various retailers.
Cons
The credit department at this place is a joke. The "managers" are so inexperienced that it's painful just to listen to them try to speak about things that should be common knowledge to someone who's entry level. There is no communication in this department unless they are being catty by talking about other people in the department. Professionalism is non-existent, no one knows how to carry themselves in a corporate environment; it all a bunch of poorly dressed, unpolished, under qualified peons trying to micromanage people who have a higher skill set than they could ever hope to have. They set up conference calls to ask you to discuss accounts that you don't even handle, just proving the poor planning on their part. There is no room for growth, you can apply for other positions and you don't even get the common courtesy of an interview. You have "incentives" in this department and if you meet your goal they are supposed to pay you for it, but they don't. Every time you make your goal you have to keep begging for it while they keep telling you, "It will be on your next check," while blaming others in management. This department has had so many employees go to HR that they sent out a survey for the people to rate their superiors. No need to say how that survey went.
