Pros
Product-wise, Urban Airship was one of the first to market and started off with a promising outlook. The new sales management team is really strong.
Cons
Originally, UA was built for push delivery and aimed at developers. Since we tried to shift gears and target marketing organizations with products like SMS and email, the product has fallen significantly short. Movement for the sake of movement has exposed a weak product development team with little-to-no experience in the space. While Gartner has been enamored by UA's box-checking in the short-term, it won't last for long. Until we get some real engineers onboard and develop a stronger product approach rooted in actual customer and competitor research, platforms like Braze and eventually Salesforce will blow past us. Customers are beginning to see these holes and are exploring other options.
