Pros

I am doing the best work of my career at Airspace. I have been at many companies., big and small. This is by far the best in terms of company culture and purpose-driven business model. Also, they have done a phenomenal job of building a team that is crazy smart and extremely passionate about the mission. There are many pros but I am only going to list the ones that are starkly different from other companies that i have been at: 1. Leadership puts a strong emphasis on culture. It is not just a lip service. Everyone lives and breathes culture so much so that a guest speaker of culture said, "I can feel it in the air here. You all don't need a lecture on culture". Every new hire can feel it on their first day in the office. The leadership also reiterates the purpose/mission of the company at every opportunity. This purpose-driven mission fosters a even more collaborative culture as everyone knows that they are working on something bigger than themselves. 2. Autonomy - My manager gives me full autonomy - this enables me to do my best work. Many of my colleagues feel equally empowered regardless of their role - if they are a skill expert or a manager. 3. Transparency - The leadership consistently demonstrates honesty and openness as they discuss everything - the good, the bad, the ugly with the rest of the company at Monthly All-Hands.

Cons

I genuinely tried to think of a con to make it a balanced review but I couldn't think of any. There are some growing pains (like running out of space, refining some processes etc) but these are all great problems to have and the company is already working on solving these.

Pros

- The company's transparency is excellent, frequent all hands meetings, regular slack updates with all the numbers of how things are going, access to execs if you ever needed anything. - Good benefits (not the best I ever had, but very respectable) - The people and company are very causal. Ive never had to worry about politics here which is great. - Good work life balance. Unlimited PTO has never been restrictive to me. Plenty of holidays. No insane deadlines for working late.

Cons

like everywhere, there has been layoffs in the last couple of years. Culture has shifted to be a bit quieter as a result.

Pros

Nick Bulcao is amazing. He really has a great vision. Amazing team in Operations who tries their best despite the ridiculous metrics they have to meet, many great friendships formed. Overtime is provided but if you’re one of the only ones that takes it, you will get taken advantage of and find yourself with a very unhealthy work/life balance.

Cons

Upper upper management in operations once above the “manager” level is awful. A few in particular. They push and push for more but don’t want to listen to feedback or their leadership team that works on the frontlines suggestions and advice. They don’t talk respectfully to the ones under them and then expect the team to break their backs. Constant changes of supervisors and managers and processes so don’t get used to anything.
