Pros

Interesting tech and industry. I learned a lot about logistics and operations, which I can apply to other problem spaces/industries. There are some very talented people throughout the org. It was great working with and learning from them. Overall not the worst place to work, but it's not the potential/growth opportunity that it's pitched as.

Cons

The company lacks vision. Priorities and goals change every quarter, and the leadership can't decide what they want Airspace to be. This makes work harder and less inspiring. Also, the culture is very odd - it hasn't matured out of its bro-y, "LFG" vibes. The company is shockingly siloed for it's size, and it's difficult to accomplish anything that requires a cross-functional team or decision. I experienced a lot of offers for help and collaboration in public settings/leadership meetings that never materialized. Overall, these aren't unsolvable dynamics, but I never got the sense that these were even on the radar of the leadership team.

Pros

- The company's transparency is excellent, frequent all hands meetings, regular slack updates with all the numbers of how things are going, access to execs if you ever needed anything. - Good benefits (not the best I ever had, but very respectable) - The people and company are very causal. Ive never had to worry about politics here which is great. - Good work life balance. Unlimited PTO has never been restrictive to me. Plenty of holidays. No insane deadlines for working late.

Cons

like everywhere, there has been layoffs in the last couple of years. Culture has shifted to be a bit quieter as a result.

Pros

Nick Bulcao is amazing. He really has a great vision. Amazing team in Operations who tries their best despite the ridiculous metrics they have to meet, many great friendships formed. Overtime is provided but if you’re one of the only ones that takes it, you will get taken advantage of and find yourself with a very unhealthy work/life balance.

Cons

Upper upper management in operations once above the “manager” level is awful. A few in particular. They push and push for more but don’t want to listen to feedback or their leadership team that works on the frontlines suggestions and advice. They don’t talk respectfully to the ones under them and then expect the team to break their backs. Constant changes of supervisors and managers and processes so don’t get used to anything.
