Pros

Global company Good product quality standards Japanese culture and leaders are very honoring

Cons

Restructuring efforts felt excessive with frequent misinformed expectations to reduce staffing. This further overloaded workers who were already overworked Effective task loading studies were never executed to determine true headcount needs Excessive supervision changes lowered ownership and accountability Most supervisors / managers seem to focus mainly on their own advancement Some American mid-senior / higher leaders seemed to regularly lack trustworthiness Valuing people, though expressed verbally, is not exhibited by all leaders Some senior leaders choose inaction frequently and people get negatively impacted as a result Very low career advancement opportunity Inclusion always seemed very low Financial compensation was often 20% lower than similar jobs/ industrial businesses in the same region Policies were not followed the same at all facilities and affiliates Resource limited - Budgets were too low to enable success and sustainment The business always felt financially unstable, and this increased fear in people about losing their jobs Going above and beyond always felt like an eventual punishment due to evaporating senior leadership support Factory abilities appeared to be overstated and missed targets frustrated workers Discipline policy wasn’t always followed Internal communication was very poor and frequently lacked transparency Grace, forgiveness, and second chances weren’t shared freely Company is very slow with key decision making Maximum product line earnings aren’t realized because of severely delayed decision making Innovation is not valued at all levels

Pros

Friendly coworkers and lots of team building opportunities

Cons

Small town company being taken over by the parent company. A lot of the benefits that kept employees have been put on the chopping block.
