      Pros

      Some departments had good managers and a sense of strong community in the team.

      Cons

      Other departments had poor managers and a "me first" attitude within the team. It was hard to find a sense of belonging because you were moved around to different teams, and there were many reorgs and regularly scheduled layoffs.

      Cons

      Akamai is still learning to grow into the enterprise-level organization it strives to be. There are no major cons to share in effort to discourage someone from applying, but like most jobs, few are perfect.
