Cons
- I was in the PreSales team which required me to do nighshifts. Personally, it really turned my schedule upside down and I felt longing for "free" time to pursue personal hobbies and other activities (Gym, watching movies, going out for dinner etc. etc.) - Having moved from a substantially larger company, I felt that the workplace environment was "lacking" when it came to facilities. Thats strictly a personal opinion. - If you're a non-programer techie, you might find that opportunities outside the company are almost non-existent since Akamai's technology is quite niche and proprietary. I felt there was limited scope outside the company for a tech oriented professional.
