Pros
* Good coworkers * Projects are interesting
Cons
Surprisingly cheap for such a big company. Supposedly the benefits should make up for low pay, but: * 401k match is both tiered for vesting (normal) and capped at a max (according to Vanguard, this is in the bottom 8% of company benefits in 2019), and also fees are passed through to the employee. * The employee recognition platform just makes me laugh... you can recognize others with the equivalent of $5.00 every quarter, we were offered $0.50 as a reward for a healthy habits challenge... * Some recent charitable giving initiatives involve no match, but Alarm.com only paying for shipping while employees actually pay for the items... Anyway, nothing huge, but it feels a bit insulting that these are supposed to be adding to the package.
