Pros

-LA Co-Terminal bases.. A dream. -Great coworkers -Great Union Reps

Cons

-Pay is very low. Ex-Virgin America here. Thankful for the raise we received but it is not enough. Alaska employees get paid by Mileage not Hours- it's an antiquated "old" pay system that worked when they only flew intra-Alaska. -Some airplanes are pretty old and smell (tee-hee) -A little robotic working with some people- stuck in their old ways. -Small airline -Did I mention pay? -That creepy smiley man thing on the tail, that somehow I've grown to like ?

Pros

The travel benefits are excellent, and the job offers opportunities to meet people from all over the world. My coworkers were supportive, teamwork was strong, and no two days were ever the same. The role helped me build confidence, improve customer service skills, and learn how to stay calm under pressure.

Cons

The schedule can be unpredictable, with long duty days, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays away from family. The job can also be physically demanding, and dealing with difficult passengers can be stressful.
