If you love to travel, this job is for you. Working in Alaska and being able to enjoy all that the last frontier has to offer is beyond your wildest dreams. Great pay, housing, free tours and beautiful locations. Super fun job.

Cons

It's not a year round job. Some of the hours are not divided up fairly.

Beautiful and unique work setting aboard domed railcars in Alaska's wilderness. Substantial tips for FoH employees. Company often promotes from within. Free cruise at the end of seasonal contract. Because a normal shift is 10+ hours, accrue overtime pay quickly. Very friendly company, you will not struggle to make connections. Excellent networking for other seasonal opportunities.

Cons

Long shifts and overnight travel required every shift. Housing NOT provided in Anchorage. Strict uniform policy. Communication frequently impeded by remoteness of travel, flexibility a must.
