Pros
The best thing is that I was hired without any prior research experience, just a BSc. So it is the perfect place to get your foot in the door. Great learning environment, ability to make my own schedule and to gain independence and publications in research projects as a technician, great seminars and lectures by scientists from around the country.
Cons
Your job is at the mercy of grant funding. No bonuses. Took a very long time to get a raise.
