Pros
I suggest working at a Union store. The benefit are good, and cheap. They will also pay for classes. You can receive an associates at no cost, but the education isn't great. Pay is ok if you are Journeymen. You are capped at around $20 p/h though. You can wait for a union raise or try to be a department manager.
Cons
The automated ordering suggestions aren't great. Management would get angry if too much was ordered, but they would also get angry if you adjusted orders how you see fit. They will cut hours whenever they can. Urge you to take longer lunches and basically work a split shift instead of just hiring another person.
