Pros
I previously worked in the Biotechnology group. The best part about Alcami in my three years was the people I worked side by side with. Otherwise, working with some flexibility in your hours was nice.
Cons
-Management is very poor as there is no mentorship, leadership or any desire to help you grow and learn. Yes, we understand that growth is also about filling company needs, but the opportunities are never there when people are always assigned the same work without any variety. And when there are challenges, management expects you to figure it out, shrugging their shoulders until the turn-around time for the project isn't hit, and then they play the blame game for you not getting it done. Management, for me, was not readily approachable, personable or resourceful. Unappreciative at all levels above the worker bee. -Company Culture, in which there was a lot of gossip and drama between people, making work seem like high school. I was never in the drama, but it is definitely noticeable and you certainly hear about people's work/personal business. The rumor mill is high, here.
