Pros
I’m not going to name names (if you work here, then you already know and if you don’t then you’ll never have to worry about it), but recent staffing changes have been the BEST thing that has ever happened to this company. I like my job and the pay is amazing so I was never planning on leaving, but my god it’s like working at a whole new company all of a sudden. Employee morale is through the roof. The entire atmosphere in the office just shifted the moment he/she/they were gone. The joy was palpable. You know that saying “you could cut the tension in the room with a knife it’s so thick”? That’s exactly what it was like, but with excitement and happiness rather than tension. I’m not sure I would have recommended the company before even though it pays better than any other lab I’ve worked at just because of the environment. But now I have no problem recommending it and I honestly think if you have the qualifications and you DON’T apply here, you’re an idiot. You won’t be offered a better salary, I promise you that.
Cons
I’m glad that recent events reminded those in positions of power within the company that nobody is beyond reproach. Everyone is held accountable for their actions (or inaction) and what matters most is the overall health of the company… which STRONGLY hinges on attracting and retaining quality employees.
