Lab leadership needs a complete overhaul from the top down. There is no more appreciation and they have lost the vision. You will work 70 hours a week and do the job of 3 people, only to maybe receive a 5% raise once every few years when promotions roll around. It will cost you your time with your family and your sanity. If you try to transfer within the company, you will be grossly underpaid market wage because “the lab is always paid low.”
