Pros
The people who work here are amazing, and I am excited every day to see their faces, smiling or not. They're good people that care about each other in our professional and personal lives, and most of all care for our customers like they're one of the family. We have excellent health benefits, and a matching 401k up to 5%. There are end of the year bonuses, and bonuses for being around for many years. They provide many opportunities for learning new things (lynda.com account, various books, etc). The management is very kind and understanding, and doesn't fault you for running into life problems (like sick kids, roads being too icy, etc) and they do genuinely care about their employees. Everyone here can approach each other openly, and have candid conversations. Personally I don't feel like we have a "we" vs "them" mentality when it comes to various departments, which makes me feel more at ease. SurveyGizmo does change overtime; and the future of business is looking a bit better than it has over recent years.
Cons
Sometimes the priorities switching can cause a lot of tension and stress for all departments. We often switch to a new "important" item to work on, and don't have a lot of background as to why and on a short timeline. There's a lot of transparency when it comes to the overall "vision" but not the reasons behind many of the decisions made on the day to day level which can cause frustration, especially if there is no explanation as to why suddenly the new changes are more important than existing issues. If asked however, generally management will try and explain the best they can (if they themselves know). While there are great learning opportunities, with the constantly changing tasks/priorities there aren't a lot of opportunities to do so during work hours, and therefore must be done outside of the office if you really want to advance (This can be both a good thing, but also a bit of a challenge for a work-life balance). Additionally, there aren't many "clear" advancement path's, although that has been getting better for departments like Support.
