Pros
Alcon is a leader in number of Ophthalmology products. Was very stable company until sold to Novartis. There may be opportunities here in the future, it is not clear what Novartis's commitment is to the area is going to be.
Cons
Alcon is currently working thru a larger merger with a Larger company. Employment is very unstable until this is worked out. There have been and will be large cuts at the Fort Worth site as the winners and losers are sorted out. Consider any offer here very carefully.
