Pros
1. Long weekends 3-4 days. 2. Some workers are really kind. 3. A lot of different cultures. You learn new things. 4. 401k matching. 5. Its good if you just need a job. 6. Pays better than minimum wage -13.19 an hour(day shift base pay) 7. They will cross train if you work hard. 8. Medical Insurance is pretty good. 9. You are creating an important product that will help others eyesight. 10. You don't take work home. You clock out and its over.
Cons
1. Some favoritism especially concerning overtime. It needs to be shared equally. 2. Long workday - 12 hours. 3. Not enough overtime. 4. Some workers are rude and will bully you by giving you more work or talk about you in their own language and laugh. 5. Some supervisors are rude and talk to you as if you are a child, but others are great. 6. Not enough PTO . If you work 12 hour days you can use up your PTO quickly. 7. One of the trainers when I first started had a bad attitude. She will call you out and lecture you like a child. I almost walked out. so just ignore her attitude and you will be ok. 8. Waking up early- clock in at 3:53 am for day shift.
