Pros

Pays well and you can make great friends. You'll also never have to worry about not understanding your own benefits ever again, and there is opportunity for growth within the company.

Cons

You are just a number at the end of the day and not a person. You are expected to perform like a robot juggling insane quantity workloads while having outstanding quality, and if you can't keep up there will be consequences and no understanding as to why. Your workload is not equivalent to your colleagues, however, you will be measured under the same expectations. Your longevity at the company is dependent on the Manager you are under, so if they do not believe in your success, they will let you go no matter how long you've been there (1 yr-4 yrs), doesn't matter. They will encourage you to be a leader and utilize your voice, but please note it will more than likely be shot down or you'll receive push back. Their turnover rate is insane, and while they'll try to convince you it is not all for negative reasons, as someone who was in the inside where people openly shared their true authentic thoughts, most employees are frustrated and unhappy. There is lack of work/life balance, you will work insane hours. I barely had a life during the week, and when I would make personal plans, they got cancelled 95% of the time. When you're in training you're expected to leave at 5, but as soon as that is lifted, you'll probably never leave at that time again. The work is never done, and work will become your life so be sure to invest in taking care of yourself.

Pros

Remote work with base pay. Some PTO. Telesales with scripts and all inbound pre-made appointments.

Cons

First of all, I thankfully came from another Medicare agency where I learned the backbone of Medicare education because Alight did not educate the employees on the essentials of Medicare; so I'm glad I already had that foundation otherwise I would have spiraled right on out of that position right at the beginning. I never got paid the commission I was promised. The first phone interview stated that I would receive all commission as one lump sum by the end of March. So after working AEP (OCT through DEC) I was waiting patiently for the commission from nearly 200 enrollments I completed. In Jan, I received 50% of my expected commission and never saw the remainder 50% come through. I reached out to multiple people including my direct management with no response. This position was temporary for potential permanency, I was asked to stay on without clarity and it basically turned into customer service support (and occasional enrollments.) The customer service was extremely heavy from all of the agents who did not do a great job - a lot of unhappy customers were calling in at the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026. The amount of commission per enrollment was never given to me in writing, so I had to learn a lesson the hard way. I left in February.
