Pros
- Being relatively new to the industry, I am pleasantly surprised by how fun it has proven to be. Highly quantitative, infinitely nuanced, and recently attracting a lot of investment capital - One of the better positioned MA-tech companies. No fear of my job going anywhere - Learning an immense amount of transferable skills
Cons
- Depending on your view of long hours, this can be a pro or a con. The truth is, it is a lot of work. The company is trying to do something that hasn't really been done and that requires late nights and early mornings. - Healthcare in general has so many nooks and crannies - it can be daunting. Medicare Advantage is a microcosm of that complexity, so a lot of my outside-of-work time is spent trying to understand things I didn't previously know.
