Pros
Strong desire by part of upper management to provide a quality product. Fair pay for some positions with little or no BS. Promotion from the bottom to the middle is quite common, but may take a little while.
Cons
Everyone is doing their own thing. The gridlock is worse than congress and almost every good idea either goes through the grinder and becomes a shadow of the former dream or is eliminated completely. The family-centric nature of the company breeds a complete lack of accountability for certain "fortunate sons" who hurt customers, other employees, and the company. Some positions have pathetic pay for insane hours and contributions. Top-level employees are not hired from within.
